Thunder in the Woods

Ready for some fresh air and a nice walk in the woods?  Then I suggest you head to Corydon, Iowa this coming September 19th and 20th.  You can stretch your legs and enjoy the peace and quiet of nature.  Oh, and while you are there, you may hear some thunder.

This is one of the last living history events of the season.  I will be there filming a scene for my upcoming film “Without A Country” and I will be enjoying the great outdoors.  

Corydon and Allerton, Iowa are in south central Iowa.  Check out the details below.

08:00 AM ~Officers Call
09:00 AM ~Free Pancake Breakfast in Allerton, IA
10:00 AM ~All Camps at Corydon Lake County Park are Open to Public to Walk through and Visit
10:30 AM ~36TH IOWA VOL. IN. REGT., COMPANY C. Will have a show of force in Allerton, IA.
12:00 PM ~Allerton, IA (Units please have your Company or Battery Formed up in Allerton, IA at 11:30 if planning to Attend the Parade.)
2:30 PM ~Find your Perfect Place to View the Battle at Corydon Lake County Park
3:00 PM ~Battle Begins
~ (Reenactment of the Battle of Antietam, MD Then Sept 16TH ~18TH 1862) ~
3:45 PM ~Battle Ends with Pass and Review of the Troops
4:00 PM ~Camps are Open to the Public to Walk through Visit and Ask Questions
4:30 PM ~Pie Auction
5:00 PM ~Dinner for Troops and Re-enactors FREE, public $5.00
6:30 PM ~Period Dance FREE @ Prairie Trails Museum (Open to the Public, Come watch and Join In)
9:30 PM ~Fireworks Display at Baseball Field in Allerton, IA

September 20TH 2015 (All Events Will Be At the Corydon Lake County Park on this Date)

10:00 AM ~Period Church Service
11:00 AM ~ Shooting scenes on location for the upcoming movie “WITHOUT A COUNTRY”
1:30 PM ~Find your Perfect Place to View the Battle
2:00 PM ~Battle Begins
~ (Reenactment of the Battle of Chickamauga, GA Then Sept 18TH ~20TH 1863) ~
2:45 PM ~Battle Ends with Pass and Review of the Troops
