Trouble in the Woods at Corydon, Iowa

Last weekend, the reenactment at Corydon, Iowa, generated a lot of noise and excitement.  They called the event “Thunder in the Woods” and the name was appropriate.  Federal and Confederate forces moved on one another and when the artillery cut loose, it sounded just like thunder!

Saturday evening I filmed some of the younger reenactors as they did an impromptu skirmish.  I guess they had too much energy to sit still… so I tagged along with a camera.  The weather was perfect – the mid-70’s – and the air was clean.  It was great to hike through the trees to find a spot to film.  Their skirmish was short and the group clearly had a lot of fun.    I hope you enjoy the video – I am calling it “Trouble in the Woods“!
